Room Update

Some of the new bedding grandma bought from Pottery Barn arrived this week. After adding the down comforter and a lamp from Target, we are nearing the final product. Still awaiting the quilt and sham, but that will be summer bedding anyway. Is this looking more girly, Aunt Jenni?

Sledding

Jillian met her friends, Teya and Emily, to go sledding yesterday. Sledding only lasted a few runs, then it morphed into rolling down the hill willy-nilly (and trying to tackle Ross, Teya's dad).

Baby Lena watching the craziness.

Star Wars Trip

We visited the Star Wars exhibit at the Anchorage Museum on Friday. Jillian requested to wear her jedi robe (although she looks more like a jawa in it). A lot of people at the museum got a kick out of that, of course. Our little "geek-in-training" made us proud. Her favorite part was riding in the Millennium Falcon!

New Room!

Aunt Erin and Grandma Karen helped us fix up Jillian's room this weekend. We painted, put together a new bed and Aunt Erin supplied her with new bedding. (Grandma also bought her some cute bedding to come later too.) It is certainly bright down there now!

Walk Like a Wood Bison

This past Sunday, Jillian went to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to watch and learn about Wood Bison.

The kids were even corralled and led up the chutes to learn about how they study and take care of these rare bison.

Luckily, it was a great day to be outside. The snacks and hot cocoa at the end helped too. Thanks to Kelly and AWCC!

Jillian got some vintage space lego sets today. Dad played with some of these sets as a kid (so they must be old!) and decided he had to find them on eBay for Jillian. They had fun playing with them this afternoon.

Snowshoeing with Friends

A bunch of us went up snowshoeing in Turnagain Pass this past Sunday. It was a perfect day for it...sunny, warm, no wind! We actually were able to keep the kids out for 2 1/2 hours. Building a snow cave and lots of treats helped to pass the time.
