School Pic

Princess Jillian

Jillian wanted me to post a picture of her in her new bright pink suede high heels. Yes, thanks Aunt Erin. :eye roll: Now we get to hear CLOMP CLOMP CLOMP all over the house.

KFGL Visit

We were able to travel out to Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge this past week for 2 nights. Fantastic, as always. Jillian went for a canoe around Pedersen Lagoon on our first day.

Scott and Beck kayaked to Abra Cove the next day.

Jillian accompanied mom and dad on the ridge hike on our last day, and she made it up on top of the first ridge! (The hot sun was beating down on the last few switchbacks to the first ridge though, which shut down the Alaskan girl. Otherwise, I bet she would have made it all the way.)

And to top it all off, we were able to ride our new lodge boat, the Wild Lander, back into Seward. (After many construction delays and Coast Guard permitting, we finally have her in service!)

Oh, and lots of beach combing and rock throwing was enjoyed as well.

Summer Reading Champion

Jillian read (or was read to) for 1000 minutes this summer! So she collected her prize from the library...a yard sign. I'm surprised we didn't need to walk with the sign pumping it up and down through town like in a parade. No, I am not campaigning, helping someone else campaign, or supporting a ballot initiative, I'm just a big reader! You go, girl.

Last Day of Soccer

Little Skiier

Dad is teaching Jillian to ski this year! She is loving it so far.

Silver Dollar City

We just finished our last day at Silver Dollar City in Branson. Jillian had a great time on the rides. Roller coaster, Tea cups, Jumping frogs, Flying elephants... and of course lots of sugary snacking.

Zoo Visit

A St.Louis trip would not be complete without a trip to the zoo.

Botanical Garden Playtime

Jillian visited the Botanical Garden with her cousins for some playtime. Climbing through the playground, playing in the General Store, feeding the Koi fish and playing in the water (a treat for the hot Alaskan in 70 degree weather).

Cardinals Game

Jillian's first day in St.Louis (and her birthday) was spent going to the last Cardinals game of the season. She was so excited to see her cousins. She was walking hand-in-hand with Michael to the game. He wasn't as excited about that as she was though.

Cupcakes!

Jillian's cupcakes are ready for her preschool tomorrow. She was upset she had never taken treats in for her birthday like other kids. So finally, for her last birthday in preschool, I delivered. Jillian selected a brownie cupcake with peppermint icing, sprinkles and a Junior Mint on top.
